Campground
Review - July 2006 |

Difficult
getting into most sites with larger rigs. No water, fill up at the dump station on
the way in. Most sites are shady
but a few are out in the sun. Sites share power from one pole
between sites. Bring extra power cords. Grass or
gravel sites, mostly level. We give it a 7 rating because it's a
great park even with the drawbacks. Nearest diesel is 30 miles
away. Fill up in Calumet before arriving in Copper Harbor!

Thank
goodness for satellite internet and TV. No cell phone at all so at
least we were still in touch with the world. No water so we ran
off the pump for four days. The area is WONDERFUL. I love the
great lakes and the weather in July is GREAT. Even with the
inconveniences, I'd love to come back. Slim's Cafe in Mohawk, MI
has FANTASTIC food.

I liked it. They said
there's bears here but I didn't see any.
Pet Friendly! |
