A
nice looking park. Nice use of rock between sites with alternating
colors. Paved roads with concrete pads. Unlevel sites front to
back. The
parking area is too narrow and the rig barely fits. You step out
of your rig into the rocks, which are too big and difficult to
walk on. Small concrete pad for the table, so
small it's mostly useless. Good
hookups. Sites are a little short but doable. Rates during the Balloon Festival are $65 per night. This
is THE reason we won't visit Albuquerque during the Balloon
Festival. ALL the parks gouge for extreme prices and this one is
no different. But as long as people continue to pay it, the
practice will continue.

It's a pretty
park. I like the different color rocks. Well maintained. Right by
I-40 so there is a lot of road noise. Small
gift shop with overpriced trinkets, basic food stuff and free Continental Breakfast
in the morning. We would
stay here again, but not during the first week of October! |

I'm used to going on
rocks. It's a good thing because the only two dog walk areas are WAY
away from my site. |
